Weight Loss Smoothie

This delicious weight loss smoothie is packed with fiber, antioxidants, and metabolism-boosting properties, that not only helps curb cravings but also supports digestion and detoxification. Each ingredient brings its own health benefits, from hydrating cucumbers to fat-burning green tea, making this a powerful and satisfying drink to include in your healthy routine. Perfect for a quick breakfast or post-workout boost.

Ingredients:

  • 2 apples, roughly chopped (not peeled)
  • 1 medium carrot, roughly chopped
  • 1 stalk of celery
  • 1 lemon (juiced or peeled)
  • 1 bunch of parsley
  • 1 inch-piece fresh ginger root (peeled and thinly sliced or grated)
  • 1 medium size cucumber, roughly chopped (not peeled)
  • 1 cup brewed green tea (cooled)

Instructions:

  1. First brew a cup of green tea and let it cool down.
  2. Wash apples and all your vegetables thoroughly.
  3. Peel carrot and ginger but do not peel apples and cucumber.
  4. Thinly slice 1 inch of ginger or grate it on fine grater. I tried both way and personally I like grated ginger.
  5. Roughly chop the apples, carrot, cucumber, and celery.
  6. Cut the lemon in half and juice it. Discard any seeds. Alternatively you can peel the lemon and cut into quarters. I like the second option. I think the smoothie taste better when you put in the whole lemon and it is thicker too.
  7. Add all the ingredients (chopped apples, carrot, celery, cucumber, parsley, ginger, lemon (or lemon juice) and brewed green tea) to a high-powered blender.

Blend the mixture until smooth and creamy. You can add more green tea if needed to reach your desired consistency.

Pour into a glass and enjoy your nutritious and refreshing weight loss smoothie!
