Pineapple and Avocado Smoothie

I love this smoothie very much. In the summer I use frozen pineapple and/or frozen strawberries so the drink is cold and refreshing without adding ice cubes. The recipe is incredibly simple to follow and combines tropical fruits to create a harmonious blend of flavors that will transport you to a sunny beach, even on the gloomiest of days.

Ingredients:

  • 1 banana
  • 1 avocado
  • 6-7 strawberries
  • 1/8 watermelon
  • 1/2 pineapple
  • 1/4 dark chocolate bar
  • 1 cup of 100% orange juice

Wash your strawberries. Peel the banana, avocado, pineapple and watermelon and cut them into chunks. Place all fruits into a blender. Add dark chocolate. Pour in the orange juice. If you use frozen fruits, like strawberries or pineapple, place them in the blender last (on top). This will prevent blender blades from getting damaged.

Place the lid on the blender securely and blend the ingredients until smooth and creamy. Depending on the power of your blender, this should take roughly 1-2 minutes.

Pour into glasses and Bon appétit.
