Step by step instructions:

First wash your strawberries, blueberries and grapes. Cut the pineapple into chunks. I like to use frozen pineapple so the smoothie is cold and refreshing without adding any ice cubes. Place all fruits into the blender. Add protein powder and pomegranate juice.

To prevent blades from getting damaged, place the frozen fruits in the blender last (on top).

Step 2

Place the lid on the blender securely and blend the ingredients until smooth and creamy. Depending on the power of your blender, this should not take longer than 1 minute.

  1. Pineapple is a fantastic source of Vitamin C, which supports the immune system, helps the body absorb iron, and promotes healthy skin. It also contains bromelain, an enzyme with anti-inflammatory and digestive benefits that may aid in digestion and reduce inflammation.
  2. Strawberries are loaded with antioxidants like Vitamin C and anthocyanins, which help protect cells from damage caused by free radicals. They are a good source of dietary fiber, which supports digestive health and helps regulate blood sugar levels.
  3. Blueberries are renowned for their high levels of antioxidants, particularly anthocyanins, which have been linked to improved brain function and a reduced risk of chronic diseases. Some studies suggest that the compounds in blueberries might enhance brain function and memory, potentially slowing down age-related cognitive decline.
  4. Grapes, especially red and purple varieties, contain resveratrol, an antioxidant that may have heart-protective and anti-inflammatory properties. Grapes also provide natural sugars for quick energy and are a source of hydration due to their high water content.
  5. Pomegranate is a potent source of antioxidants, notably punicalagins and anthocyanins, which are believed to have heart-protective effects and contribute to overall cell health. It also has anti-inflammatory properties and may help reduce oxidative stress, potentially benefitting cardiovascular health.

Incorporating these fruits into your Energy Boosting Smoothie can contribute to a well-rounded blend of nutrients, antioxidants and natural sugars that not only taste delicious but also support your body’s vitality and well-being.
