Banana and Pineapple Smoothie

Whether you’re looking for a delightful breakfast option, a post-workout refresher, or simply craving a healthy and delicious treat, this banana and pineapple smoothie is guaranteed to satisfy your taste buds and provide a refreshing boost to your day.

I like to mix frozen and fresh fruit in my smoothies. Using frozen pineapple and/or frozen mango reduces the amount of prep work and eliminates the need for ice to keep the drink cold. Fresh bananas add some flavour and creaminess to the smoothie.

Ingredients:

  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 fresh pineapple
  • 1 cup mango (I like to use frozen)
  • 1/4 of mid size watermelon
  • 2 tablespoons of your favourite protein powder
  • 1 cup 100% orange juice

Peel the banana, pineapple and watermelon and cut into chunks. Place your fruits chunks into a blender starting with watermelon and pineapple. Add protein powder, banana and frozen mango on top. Pour in the orange juice. It’s always better to add frozen fruits or ice cubs last. This will prevent blender blades from getting damaged.

Securely place the lid on the blender and blend the ingredients until smooth and creamy. This usually takes about 1-2 minutes, depending on the power of your blender.

Once the mixture is smooth, taste it and adjust the thickness as desired. If you prefer a thicker consistency, you can add more mango or banana and blend again. To make it thinner just add more watermelon or orange juice.

Pour the Banana and Pineapple Smoothie into glasses and serve.

    Mango is a natural aphrodisiac that increase libido for better sexual performance. The King of fruits is packed with nutrients. Contains vitamin E, which helps to regulate sex hormones and boost sex drive. There is a good reason why mangos are known as the ‘Love fruit’.

    Watermelon is known as natural Viagra. That’s because it is rich in an amino acid called citrulline, which relaxes and dilates blood vessels and stimulate blood flow to the penis, much like Viagra and other similar drugs. Also, the citrulline in watermelon may help increase stamina and decrease muscle soreness.

    Oranges are rich in Vitamin C. They also contain Vitamin B9 and folate which promote blood circulation and purification by assisting in the production of red blood cells.
