The classic Black Russian is a simple two-ingredient cocktail made with coffee liqueur and vodka. The traditional recipe typically calls for equal parts vodka and coffee liqueur, such as Kahlúa, to be poured over ice in a lowball glass. I make mine Black Russian drink with two parts vodka and one part coffee liqueur…. It’s just better that way…. Simple, yet tasty and it’s everybody’s favourite.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz Absolut vodka
- 1 oz Kahlúa coffee liqueur
- 1 cherry (optional) for garnish
Directions:
- Fill a lowball glass with ice
- Pour the Kahlúa coffee liqueur and Absolut Vodka over the ice and mix together
- Garnish with a cherry (or twist of lemon or orange peel) and enjoy.
It’s important to note that this is an alcoholic drink and as such, it should be consumed responsibly and in moderation. It is also not recommended to drive after consuming alcoholic beverages.
