Irish Coffee

Irish coffee is a warm and comforting drink that combines the flavours of coffee, whiskey, and cream. Easy to make, this is a classic and the most popular coffee drink. Here is an easy recipe for making Irish coffee:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of freshly brewed hot coffee
  • 2 ounces of Irish whiskey
  • 1 oz Kahlua coffee liqueur or Bailey’s Irish cream
  • 1 oz whipped cream
  • 1 pinch grated nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar (optional)

Directions:

  1. Pour Irish whiskey into the mug with hot coffee, add sugar (optional) and stir until the sugar is dissolved
  2. Pour coffee liqueur (Kahlua or Baileys)
  3. Gently spoon the whipped cream on top and garnish with grated nutmeg or chocolate.

To make it more authentic I like to use Irish whiskey like Jameson, Tullamore Dew or Bushmills. Enjoy.
