Chocolate Banana Smoothie

Chocolate Banana Smoothie is my Sunday’s breakfast. I don’t know why but me and my wife love to make this drink on Sunday and watch the re-run of “Friends” on TV. I always have fruits, including bananas in my freezer. It’s just so easy to use when needed, and frozen fruits up the creaminess of the smoothie. If you want a thinner consistency, add more milk. This smoothie is loaded with proteins, so it’s great for breakfast or before and after workout snack.

Ingredients:

  • 2 bananas (peeled)
  • 2 cups almond milk
  • 2 tablespoons dark chocolate or unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon chocolate protein powder
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon flax seeds

Blend all the ingredients in your blender until completely smooth. Pour into a glass and sprinkle cocoa powder on top (optional)….. Bon appétit.

Use quality dark chocolate made from 60-70 percent cocoa or unsweetened cocoa powder available in your local store or on line in places like Amazon

Vanilla is good for your heart and may help reduce cholesterol levels. It’s also used to promote hair growth and healthy skin, treat anxiety and depression, speed healing process and reduce inflammation.
