Watermelon and Banana Energy Smoothie

The legendary, natural Viagra drink that took the world by storm. I love sharing this delicious and very refreshing recipe with you because it works like a charm …. you are welcome!!! Here are few tips… next time you buy a watermelon, chopped it up, and put it in the freezer so you will always have it when you need it. You can use seedless watermelon or remove most of the seeds before freezing them, but don’t stress too much, the good blender will blend those seeds to bits anyways.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 of watermelon
  • 2 bananas
  • 1/3 of dark chocolate bar or 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 teaspoons of walnuts
  • 1 avocado
  • 2 cups of pineapple
  • 2 cups of blueberries
  • 3 teaspoons of maca powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder or 1/2 inch-piece root (peeled and thinly sliced)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ginseng powder or 1/2 inch-piece root (peeled and thinly sliced)

Step by step instructions:

Step 1

Wash the blackberries. Peel and chop bananas, pineapple, avocado and watermelon. I use frozen pineapple for this recipe to keep my drink cold without adding ace cubes.

Step 2

Place all fruits chunks into a blender. Make sure to add frozen fruits last (on top) to prevent blades from getting damaged. Add dark chocolate, walnuts, maca powder, turmeric and ginseng.

Step 3

Place the lid on the blender securely and blend all ingredients until smooth and creamy. It should take about 1-2 minutes, depending on the power of your blender. Pour into the glass and drink when is fresh and cold.
